Testing for toxins
Most feed producers worldwide have a screening process in place to avoid the use of contaminated raw materials. However, despite preventive measures, most feedstuffs are at some point (cross-)contaminated by at least one mycotoxin.
Since toxin-related problems are difficult to diagnose once they occur, an effective strategy to prevent toxins from entering the farm is crucial. In addition to monitoring the animals, a vital part of this strategy is continuously sampling and testing feed.
